I think it is a great idea that more bike lanes should be put in in Detroit. Even though they’re far away from where we live, it will still make a huge impact. It might make such a big impact that other states start to catch on. I really do hope it works out and there will be a bunch of new bike lanes in Detroit. I think that new bike lanes being put in will help with less cars and less pollution. More bike lanes will help detroit become a safer less car accident place.
According to the article that I read, if we add more bike lanes everywhere, people will be influenced to bike more because they see that more effort is being put into facilities. There might be more bike accidents, but because of bike lanes being put in, bikers don’t have to share the road. If we use more bikes than cars we can stop global warming faster, and it will also help with greenhouse gases.

In my opinion, I strongly agree that young children should be given the chance to learn how to bike, because if they don’t, biking will not be passed on through mankind. If this happens, people will forget about the sport of bicycle riding and they would use cars to get around which increases pollution and leads to global warming. Furthermore, children will not get the exercise they need and that will result to bone loss and humans will lose the ability to do very many things. According to the article I read, bicycle riding benefits children much more than riding in a car, and I strongly agree. I know for sure that when I’m sixteen and I can drive a car, my mom will constantly worry about car accidents and such. I’m not blaming them, car accidents are much more common than bike accidents, and many people have died tragic deaths by getting hit by cars. In fact, I remember getting yanked roughly out of the road by my mother as a car sped by a few feet in front of me, ignoring the crosswalk. The people in the car might be your children someday if you don’t influence biking rather than driving a car.

In my opinion, the creation of bike lanes and expansion of biking throughout many cities is a great idea. People will begin to bike and not only have more lanes to bike in, but also feel safe having lanes to bike in. Many people will also feel more comfortable as they bike along the streets with other people because they will not have to fear being hit by a car. I feel like if this topic gets out there it would be great because we should not have to have people being scared to go out and have a fun bike ride.Children would also be able to bike many places and not have to wait until they are sixteen. Parents could trust that their kids be safe on the lanes and it would be a good transportation exercise. One big reason that I support this topic is because child obesity is becoming a huge problem around the world.

My opinion is that people should bike because the air would be cleaner. People should bike because it would give them more exercise, and it would make them healthier. Some reasons are that it gets you out in nature, it is fun and you can do it with friends. Not biking is hurting nature.
