It's easy to bike to work and school, but on weekends people like to go far places. Of course you can drive to those places, but why not bike? A mountain bike ride to a campsite or a beach party would be a great way to enjoy nature AND benefit your health. But biking isn't just for getting places, it's for fun as well. On my first mountain bike ride, I was opened up to so many new things. It felt as if I had been blind my whole life until I got into the cool nature air. Amazingly, my eyes were opened and I wondered why I had never done something like this before. I'll admit, it was hard to get off of my phone and get into the fresh nature air, but when you're rolling, it feels as if you can do anything. Trying to get over heartbreak? Get off of your phone and get on a bike. Did you know that being on your phone can actually get you more depressed instead of less? When you're moving fast on a bike, the air rushing around you, the depression gets pushed away and replaced with happiness and awe. Tired of boredom? Try a new mountain biking trail. Trust me, you'll be amazed. Stressed out? Stop overworking and take a quick bike ride! If you're doubting this, then try it out for yourself. Studies have shown that riding a bicycle can relieve stress, lower your depression, and even increase your lifespan. RIDE A BIKE!
